A: This question comes up to many times. The Marauder is faster!

The Impala is heavier, its push-rod 16valve 5.7L 350c.i. v8 is out dated, it used a 3.08 rear end gear witch was bad for acceleration and the rear axle set-up suck for handling.

The Marauder is lighter, its 32 valve DOHC 4.6L 281c.i. V8 its better tuned, it had a rear end gearing of 3.55 for even better acceleration and the 4 link rear end with sway bar greatly improves handling.

A: Lets see…a 4200lb car with a 5.7 V8 versus a 5700lb+ truck with a V-8. I think the Impala would win unless the driver is terrible.

A: the 94, and 95 have digital gagues and the 96 has analog.

the 96 has a OBD-II computer
96 has a tachometer
95 has cup holders in the center console

A: The Impala SS was the same platform as the Caprice classic, except for bucket seats, center console with floor shifter, dual exhaust, posi-rear, grille and badging. 1996 was the last year for both the Impala and the Caprice (rear wheel drive). Both had the same engine and transmission. An LT1 with a 700R4. This platform was also used in the Buick Roadmaster.

A: i would say the impala i had a mr2 spyder and i dident think it was fast at all

I really don’t know what spacers are so if you could, could you tell me what they do?

A: No no no….you only run spacers if you HAVE to….you don’t run them just for the heck of it.

I know plenty of people that run them to fit whatever wheels they want on their car but in my opinion it’s on more piece that can fail.

What is the best brands to purchase

A: You can buy a larger throttle body and bigger fuel injectors. K&N cold air intake kit, aluminum heads, headers, high flow cats, and a good aftermarket exhaust. I have Magna Flow on my Caprice and they sound real good. Replace your thermostat with a 160 degree or 180 degree thermostat. Get your computer flashed for the changes and upgrades and you’ll be putting out 300 hp or more and still have a street friendly car with good gas mileage. Check out Summit’s website for parts and prices. Hypertech has programmers you can use for your pcm or use some one like PCM’s for less or Trifecta tuning to flash your computer.

A: It depends on a couple of things:

1. Is the car modded?
2. Is the PCM reprogrammed for higher grade fuel?

For regular, I would say upper $70 and super would probably be lower to mid $90.

It is a 24 gallon tank.
